I love that plane. My dad was the boom guy for in flight refueling during the Persian Gulf war, and he said he only ever saw one of those and he refueled it. He says it has its presence when in the air.

I'd crap myself if I had to know how to read and understand all those dials. Seriously amazing stuff. I never knew the cockpit was so small/narrow. Idk why I always pictured it having a space ship style cockpit. Open with one person leading and a few pilots pushing buttons. Maybe it is because it was that sci-fi when it came out. Man I admire this stuff

That is the most mind blowingingly awesome plane ever. I don't think it will ever be topped in terms of sheer presence ever. Someday we might equal or better its performance, but nothing will have the presence of the Blackbird. It just amazes me the stuff that was designed with slide rules.
